WHOLE LOTTA SHAKE-OUT GOIN' ON

Some of the Fall TV seasons duds are up for review. As usual, some good shows will be dropped, and some bad shows will be retained, thanks to those totally out-of-it ratings. I didn't find much worth watching on broadcast network TV this season. But there were a few shows that weren't too horrible, stuff for the kiddies, mostly. That baseball show, "Clubhouse," was an OK juvenile, but it's in trouble. Likewise teen mystery "Veronica Mars." Mel Gibson's somewhat autobiographical sitcom, "Complete Savages," is so bad it'll probly last forever. The awfully pretentious "Jack & Bobby" won't make it to assassination day. That's what they get for making Bobby the Prez, and a REPUBLICAN! Clueless is as clueless does.

"Stargate Atlantis," turned out to be amusing, in the manner of its' predecessor, "Stargate SGI," which is still quite watchable, even after some major, or rather, general changes were made. The special effects are good, the stories are OK, and there's a light-heartedness that's refreshing in a Sci-Fi show. I like 'em.

They're on CABLE, of course, where all the good stuff keeps showing up. (At least, until the Repukes start regulating that, too.) Like John Stewart on "The Daily Show," and the outrageous "Dave Chappelle Show," both on Comedy Central. And the raw, funny and moving firehouse dramedy "Rescue Me," which joins the evil cop show "The Shield," and the scary plastic-surgery soap opera "Nip, Tuck" on the FX Network. "Monk" is still on USA, but it's new season hasn't started yet. And they've fired his nurse, so, could be shark-time. We'll viddy. Lifetime has some new shows, too. But, they're for girls, right? Not sure if my TV is allowed to get girl-networks. At least I don't have to watch Oprah, or Dr. Phil...

A&E, BRAVO, TNT and SPIKE have all gone down the tubes, so don't watch them, OK? I'll know if you do.
