BUSH SAVES "POLITICAL CAPITAL"

INSTEAD OF SAVING AMERICA

Dubya Hides Behind Congress's Skirts,
As Republicans Refuse To Reform Our Intelligence Establishment

That's what the 9/11 Commission gets for trying to be "non-partisan," and not laying blame where it belongs. And that's what they get for not pushing hard enough for reform before the election. Shit, who was on the bridge when the first 9/11 happened? Bush. And now, who is likely to be there for the next 9/11?

Without blame, there was no "remedy." And there will be none. The 9/11 Commission and it's Warrenesque report, will now fade away. And there WILL be another 9/11. In a Red State, maybe, next time.

I will be chided for being extreme, paranoid, whatever, by all the voices of "moderation" and such. Then, when the next attack occurs, hopefully not in a Blue State, again, the same people will say, "Well, it's just those CRAZY fundamentalists, no way we could have prevented this." Everybody is crazy but them. They're just wilfully fucking IGNORANT, to the point of insanity.

What's more crazy: Taking an interest in a very real, and proven threat? Or ignoring it? Hiding under the covers is OK for little kids. For adults, not so much.

Bushco obviously wants another attack, and we're already being primed to target another uninvolved country as "retaliation."

THREE years after 9/11, NOTHING has been done. Oh, yeah, we invaded Afghanistan, but we let Osama and Mullah Omar go. Al Qaida has spread all over the world, inspiring spin-offs. Now the drug lords are coming back in to Afghanistan, heroin production & exports are up, and the Taliban are starting to look good again to the people. And, oh yeah, where's Osama?

Meanwhile, 9/11 provided an excuse for the unprovoked invasion of Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. And look at the fucking mess over there. It's a daily recruiting video for Al Qaida. On the international front, nuclear non-proliferation is a thing of the past, thanks to Bush, personally. Our good friends the Pakistani's have spread nukes here, there and everywhere. Anti-terror ally China, and their North Korean surrogates, are glad to provide missile delivery systems to ANYbody. Our new buddies the Russians have their own brand new missiles, just announced yesterday, designed to defeat our Star Wars crap.

At home, nothing has been done about seaport, railroad, trucking, highway, infrastructure, or toxic industry security. The window dressing at the airport still lets up to 50% of the FAA's testers get through with knives, guns and fake bombs.

Experts on nuclear terror say a nuke or a dirty bomb is VERY likely going to be set off in an American city in the next few years.

Now, there will be no reform of our intelligence community, including of course, Congress itself. So we're WILFULLY blinding ourselves to all these threats, even after the catastrophic security failures of 9/11.

It's obvious that Bushco wants a lukewarm war to replace the lucrative Cold War. Look at all the power it has given them. And look what they choose to do with it, and our tax dollars. Are you ready for the consequences, to your town? As a New Yorker who used to live two blocks from the World Trade Center, I just want to say, I hope the NEXT 9/11 is in a RED State!
