MICHAEL JACKSON, FARRAH FAWCETT, ED MCMAHON
REQUIESCAT IN PACEM
THREE ICONS OF IDIOCIES PAST CEASE TO EXIST, SUDDENLY
Thank Gawd Nobody Important Died. Well, Nobody Important To Us.
It has come to our attention that an entire generation has, in effect, been molested by Michael Jackson. And they liked it. So be it.
It would also seem that the previous generation would have liked to molest this Farrah Fawcett person, based entirely upon a poster she made a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Well, no one can harm her now. Peace be upon her. Wank 'em if ya got 'em.
Finally, an even older generation seemed to take some pleasure in the mere existence of one Edward McMahon, who merely existed. No harm in that. And for his service in WWII, Semper Fi.
Some of us experience loss. Some of us choose music as a way of dealing with it. The music will always be there, even after we are gone forever. What's your song?
YOUTUBE: M. WARD
"M. Ward : "Requiem""
As long as somebody cares when you die, I guess you're OK.
YOUTUBE: GIUSEPPI VERDI
"Verdi requiem - dies irae"
The music played at "Lady Di's" funeral, which we'll spare you; another outpouring of faux grief.
YOUTUBE: MARVIN GAYE
"Marvin Gaye - Abraham , Martin, John"
The singer was killed by his own father. The song is about people who are, um, were actually important.
YOUTUBE: JOHANNES BRAHMS
"Nuclear weapons and Brahm's Requiem"
A requiem for all of us?
YOUTUBE: JAMES TAYLOR; NEIL YOUNG
"James Taylor 1970 and Neil Young 1971 IN CONCERT Series BBC"
Songs from before we knew what it was to lose someone we loved, or to grow old ourselves.
YOUTUBE: WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART
"Mozart - Requiem - Lacrimosa - 27-01: 253rd anniversary of Mozart's birth"
Mozart died before he finished this. It was his own requiem. He was 35.
YOUTUBE: MIRAH
"don't die in me"
I'll try.
YOUTUBE: GABRIEL FAURE
"Fauré Requiem In Paradisum"
Something to look forward to, if you care to believe in it.
YOUTUBE: JONI MITCHELL
"Joni Mitchell Live At The Carnegie Hall 1972 blue"
It doesn't get any bluer.
YOUTUBE: DYLAN THOMAS
"Dylan Thomas"
The last song.

Hi. I read your post on the passing of these three. It is pathetic. You're an asshole. You do, however, have good taste in music.
.
A real "*ssh*le" is someone who posts anonymous personal attacks, *ssh*le.
The fact is, the vast majority of intelligent people with any taste at all could care less about the "passing" of these three cultural brainfarts, and we're all bloody sick of having our airwaves dominated by the news of it.
Our sympathies to the families involved, but the rest of you need to get a life. Faux-grief and pretend-outrage over complete strangers you really don't give a sh*t about is for *ssh*les, like you.
You must be one of those morons that the talking heads on the tee-vee are referring to when they say ridiculous things like "The world mourns..." or, "A universal outpouring of grief..." "THE WORLD"? "UNIVERSAL"? Really? Most of the planet could care less. "MOURNS"? "GRIEF"? Yeah, when your own mother dies, not some has-been psycho child-molesting hack "pop-star" you've never even met.
Seriously, are you actually weeping and rending your garments? Are you considering suicide and at a loss as to how to put your life back together? Have you stopped eating and bathing? That's grief, not what you're pretending to feel. Talk about bad taste. It's like a f**king FESTIVAL of bad taste! BASTA!
See, we really do have good taste!
