LIHOP? OR MIHOP?

WHY?

That Is The Question.

I'd never heard these terms, before:
LIHOP and MIHOP. Turns out, I'm very familiar with the concepts, with regard to the World Trade Center bombing on 9/11/01:

The theories are, that the "Powers That Be," i.e., Bushco, either:

"Let It Happen On Purpose"

"Made It Happen On Purpose"

Apparently, there's a whole bunch of people arguing with each other over the real and perceived details that support these theories. As a kid who grew up with the Kennedy Assasination, with a copy of the big, thick Warren Commission report on it in my parent's house, I doubt anybody will ever conclusively prove which one of these theories is right. Why?

Does anybody sane and not stupid actually believe that toilet-seat-medal- wearing (the lowest rifle- qualification medal in the Marine Corps) wacko Lee Harvey Oswald actually carried out the assasination of JFK all by himself, and made those TWO impossible shots in Dallas in 1963? Well, we'll NEVER know, will we? The official government report was issued, and NOTHING was done. Forty years later, nothing is known, either. Why?

Similarly, all the hard evidence on 9/11 is under the control of the government, and everything we now know about 9/11, definitively, comes from the government. So, we can either believe them, or not. There is no other information, nor is there ever likely to be. Why?

The government certainly has no interest in getting to the bottom of this, implicating or accusing anyone in the governnment of incompetance or complicity in this. So far, there has been no truly independent investigation of 9/11, by anyone completely outside of the government. Why?

The Bush Administration consistently opposed, denied, delayed and stonewalled the 9/11 Commission investigation, from the outset. Bush had to be baby-sat by Cheney in his appearance before the Commission, even behind closed doors. It was a joke. Still, the Republicans are refusing to cooperate in any reforms, even based on the no-blame, "bipartisan" 9/11 Commission Report. Why?

I can't believe the Kerry campaign let them get away with this. Maybe they focus-grouped a bunch of Angry Nascar Dads and Nervous Soccer Moms, and they just didn't care about 9/11. Or maybe they didn't want to hear that that nice Christian good-ole-boy from the wealthy, powerful Connecticut family, Dubya, was responsible. Why?

Because, either way, Bush was responsible. It happened on his watch. Either he made it happen, or he let it happen. Criminal intent, or criminal negligence. Stupidity is not a defense.

The possibility of planes being used as missiles was long known. We also knew that terrorists were considering such an attack, years ago. The target was known for over ten years, since before the first WTC bombing. The alleged perpetrators were VERY well known, since before the US African embassies and USS Cole bombings. There was a specific warning less than a month before 9/11. The Bushies deliberately shelved it. Why?

There is no third choice: Bush was negligent, or Bush was involved. Bush either did 9/11, or allowed it to happen. Yet, there he sits, in the White House, for FOUR MORE YEARS. And his first act is to deep-six the 9/11 Commission, and any chance of reform that might protect us from ANOTHER 9/11. Why?

Don't bother with all these other, more complex questions. Just ask, why?

Why has not ONE person in the US government been fired, or charged, because of 9/11?

Why is nothing being done to prevent another 9/11?

Why are we creating new terrorists at an unheard-of rate, all over the world?

Why are we more at risk than ever for a 9/11-style attack?

Bush is responsible. For all of this. Still, he goes on in the same way, refusing to change ANYTHING, since 9/11. Why?

Just ask "Why?"
