HOMESEC DEPDIR RE-ENTERS REVOLVING DOOR:

WOO-HOO-HOO! MICHAEL JACKSON!!!

A Corporate Outsourcer & Privatizer Will Protect Ya, Folks!

*Road, airport & military base builder to become second In command at Homeland Security
.
*His agenda: Privatization: Outsource everything to his former employers

*Recommended outsourcing NASA, which is what CAUSED the shuttle disaster...

This guy is the ultimate careerist. He really knows how to game the government. He's gone from academia to industry to government to think-tank, round and round: Always capitalizing on his contacts, and always representing his next, or last boss. Mostly, big business: He just left a top spot at a major global engineering, construction and maintenance firm that subsists largely on government money.

Not a bad gig for a Poli-Sci major, eh? Now he doles out government money. He used to work for Lockheed, then he went to work giving out huge government contracts to Lockheed. In between gigs, he lobbies his old buddies back at the Federal govt. The door can't revolve fast enough for him.

Now he's going to be second in command of your homeland security. His boss will be a guy with little experience in government, outside of the lawyering side of it: Michael Chertoff. Mikey will need help and guidance navigating the vast bureaucratic maze he's being put in charge of at the Department of Homeland Security. Thank Gawd he's got this guy, Jackson, who certainly knows the ropes. And the strings. And the wires. Wonder if they'll have time to actually protect us, while they're advancing their careers, and feathering their next bosses' nests?

Jackson has already done transportation security: Under his lead, up to 50% of fake weapons, and 25% of fake bombs got through airport security in FAA inspectors' tests. Now, he'll be number two man behind ALL homeland security: major cities, airports, freeways, major rivers, canals, harbours, borders, bridges, tunnels, ports, railroads, chemical and biological plants, nukes, etc, etc, etc. And his boss is a LAWYER. Oooo, bet Osama is worried NOW! Keystone bureaucrats, anyone?

Jackson really does THINK about your safety and security, though. This is the guy who wanted to privatize and outsource air traffic control:

"Hello, Tower? This is Air Jumbo 007, coming into Dallas-Fort Worth. We're going to need assistance on this landing, our instruments are malfunctioning."

"So sorry. I cannot understand your strange American accent. Vould you speaking more slowly, please, sir?"

"Say again?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, sir. It appears you do not have an account with us. I vill need a credit card number if you'd like to set one up."

"Tower, this is an emergency. We are low on fuel and cannot see to land. Request immediate assistance, urgently."

"It vill only take a moment to set up an account, sir. Please stand by."

"TOWER! MAYDAY! MAYDAY!"

...

"Sorry for the delay. Hello? Hello?"

Not to worry. Michael P. Jackson is no mere corrupt technocrat. He's something of a Right-wing ideologue, Heritage Foundation stooge, and long-time Republican Party apparatchik, going back to Reagan, at least. So, he knows which side his butter is breaded on: The Right. Look for some REALLY nasty repressive stuff under him and his new boss Michael "Round Up The Usual Muslim Suspects" Chertoff! And, quit working on that tan. But, think about a nose-job, if you're going to be flying, much. At least dye your hair blonde, and maybe get blue contacts. Never know. Achtung, Baby!

A sample of his thought:

>>
" In 216 B.C., Hannibal invaded Southern Italy and it was a disaster. The Romans were routed and Rome was not used to this. Rome was used to winning the war and dominating its world.

So Cicero wrote about how this horrific event, this defeat, this terrible battle, was received in Rome. He said: "The news was received in Rome more heroically than any victory and without the slightest signs of fear. Suggestions of peace did not exist. "

...

" There have been piles of ink written about what it means to have an MBA President, but I will tell you that when the DOT senior management team briefed this President, he understood intuitively how we cross-walked the process mapping tools that we were bringing to place with the metrics and measurement tools that we were bringing not only to run the stand-up of the agency, but to run the agency itself.

So we've tried to take these tools from the private world and bolt them into an environment in which they do not typically live. "

...

" This was the ground upon which we would then construct a training program, a vulnerability assessment, and a careful analysis of how to improve this process. Did we find problems? Yes, we did. Did we know that we would have problems? Yes, we did. "

...

" We created at Baltimore's airport, BWI, a laboratory to test process management. So far, we've been working very intently in one pier, Pier C, on how to move people through with better security and more efficiency. We have gotten a 23 percent increase in the per-person efficiency by tweaking not one thing or two things, but 22 things or 44 things. "

Sound familiar? Studied English with Donald Rumsfeld, then did graduate work as a corporate drone. A bona fide genius, at biz-buzz. Kinda fast & loose with the old numeros, too, hunh? Which is it, Bud? Twenty-two? Or Forty-four? What the Hell, it's all Govt money, eh? Throw a couple ZEROS in there! That's NUTHIN! Hyuk-hyuk!

He does think we can solve the problem of recruiting and retaining public-sector workers by outsourcing and cutting wages, pensions, benefits and work rules. Hunh? You get them to sign up, or stay on, by paying them LESS??? Bet the BOSS likes the sound of that. Until he notices the silence of work no longer being done, as workers flock to better-paying jobs. What an ass-kissing, back-stabbing IDIOT!

Ah, well, he's quit government several times to "spend more time with his family." He probly won't last long in this job: He never does. Bit of a committment-phobe. He'll get rid of the family, and scoot off for the corporate world, to the very companies he gave HomSec contracts to: Wait for it.
