TV NATION

WE LOVE TO SUCK THE BOOB TUBE

And It Loves Us Right Back Again!

No surprise here. Scientists have found that people like to watch television. Even alone. Preferably alone. That's escapism, right? I think so. Let's face it, this is an EXCELLENT world to escape from. Even the good stuff has consequences: Sex makes your piss burn and gives other people access to your emotions and stuff. Especially your stuff. And drugs, well, we all know what THEY can do to a bank account. Or your complexion. Or your remaining teeth. Rock'n'roll makes you deaf, and obnoxious, and stupid, too, to judge by its' biggest fans. Country music, even worse.

So, TV is a relatively harmless diversion. Nobody ever gets killed watching it. Nobody is really inspired
by TV to kill anybody they didn't already want to kill, despite their defense attorney's arguments to the contrary. Yeah, your ass begins to look just like the couch, in reverse. Yeah, you become pasty-faced and sallow. But, weren't you a little pasty-faced and sallow, before? Seriously. Fess up.

As to anti-socialization, who wants to socialize, anyway? Who wants to be pounded in the face by other people's asshole opinions, delivered in a palpable mist of bad breath, accompanied by a haze of B.O., and a flurry of dandruff? We have blogs for that, and most of them are odorless. Some of them do have dandruff, but, hey: Kwitcherbitchen.

Nah, we don't need no stinkin' socialization. Maybe a nice Friday night grope once in a while. An occasional brunch with one's few actual friends. A movie with a honey, some strange time when there's no lines, no yammering subnormals, no stinky rugrats. Otherwise, leave us to our idiot-boxes. We like 'em. Science says so.

So, that's why I'll be continuing to focus on television, off and on, in this blog. Cuz ya know ya loves it. And only I dare top speak its name. See ya in the sitcoms!

You look like you could use a laugh. Lighten up, already.

BERNARD KERIK: A SCREW LOOSE IN HOMELAND SECURITY

BUSH APPOINTS POLITICAL HACK TO "PROTECT" US

New Man Has Experience at Handling the AFTERMATH Of Disasters

Makes ya feel REAL confident, don't it? He's the guy at the helm at NYPD on 9/11/01. He's the guy sent to train the Iraqi Police force, another failure. His mother was a prostitute, killed by his father, a pimp. He became a cop. Think he has issues? Like, a Batman complex?

He started out as a U.S. Army MP, which makes him a dummy's dummy and a prick's prick. Next, he resurfaces as a mercenary in Saudi Arabia. Next, an NYPD narc. Then he became warden of a small prison in New Jersey, making him a small-time screw's screw. Then he ran NYC's prison system, second only to the Lubyanka, in Russia. They recently renamed the infamous Tombs lock-up after him. Sounds like a comic character from a neo-nazi graphic novel.

"Bernie," as Bush calls him, is best known for standing there and watching the World Trade Center get blown apart, as NYC Police Commissioner. Then he attempted to capitalize on the disaster as a highly-paid rent-a-cop in Giuliani's corporate-security consulting firm. His bread landed butter-side up after the WTC disaster, eh?

Oh, he's a high-school drop-out, and he left a half-breed bastard child in Korea, after his Army days. Like father, like son? He also wrote a book detailing acts of torture he "witnessed." A genuine American hero, NOT!

So, what the hell does this guy know about terrorism, the PREVENTION thereof, or Federal agencies, the running thereof? Nada. But he really knows how to kiss ass: First Giuliani's, now Bush's. And that's all that matters.

Homeland Security? Obviously, either there's no cause for concern, and no real threat. Or, there is a threat, and Bush wants it to hit us again, hard. Are you STARTING to get the drift, here? How 'bout you, Right-wing traitors? Give a shit about your country, at ALL, any more? Or just goose-stepping along behind Der Bush, hm?

Well, anyway, they've got the PERFECT guy for the aftermath of the NEXT 9/11. He's the one with the MOST experience of the aftermath of the FIRST 9/11. I feel SO much better, now. How 'bout you? Are ya ready for a 9/11 in YOUR hometown? Stand up and be COUNTED, Red States!
