If You Don't "Get" George Carlin, You're The Odd-Ball

My fellow smart-ass lefty NY Irish lapsed Catholic blue-collar boomer, George Tiberius O'Carlin, has bought the farm, bit the onion, taken a dirt nap. But not before he helped make it totally uncool to be an uptight right-wing judgemental fundamentalist money-grubbing conservative war-loving Republican racist sexist homophobic sectarian anti-immigrant asshole. Carlin ain't "counter-culture," baby: Carlin IS culture.

As usual, the corporatist media got it all wrong. All the cool things about the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies have become mainstream in America. The mediacracy just doesn't know it. They're paid not to know it. Despite the constant drumbeat by the corporate right-wing shills, nobody wants all the bad shit from the "Good Old Days" back. That's the number one reason they'll never have enough popular support to win a full, free and fair election & vote-count: We all hate them. They're unpleasant, corny, out-of-it assholes. Not to mention liars, thieves, traitors, and mass-murderers. Fuck 'em. They done lost the "culture wars," cuz they ain't got no cultcha.

But George did. Slainte and Slán Leat, we'll see yez in the big sibín in Heaven, makin' Jayzuz piss his diaper three shows a night. I'll be at the bar there directly, if anyone needs me. How will you know me? Just shout, "This one's on me, Buys!"
